🙌 Merrell Robinson — A Testimony of Faithfulness and Transformation
This week, we joyfully shine our spotlight on a man whose life is a living testimony of God's grace and restoring power — Merrell Robinson. From where he's been to where God is taking him, Merrell's story reminds us that no one is disqualified from purpose, and every setback can become a setup for God's glory.
🕊️ One Year Sober — A Milestone Worth Celebrating
Merrell has walked through addiction challenges and, by God's grace, is now celebrating one full year of sobriety. That's not a small thing — that's a daily decision to choose freedom, one day at a time, and we celebrate every step of that journey with him.
📖 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." — 2 Corinthians 5:17
🙏 Serving Under the Deacons — A Heart Ready to Lead
Merrell has been faithfully volunteering with the Deacons under the direction of our Pastor, and his heart is set on becoming part of the training program. He's not just attending church — he's showing up to serve, and that servant's heart is exactly what leadership is built on.
📖 "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve." — Mark 10:45
🤝 Discipleship That Understands the Journey
Merrell has been walking through one-on-one discipleship with Pastor Ron, who has faced similar challenges in his own life. That kind of mentorship — one that comes from lived experience, not just instruction — is exactly how God turns our tests into someone else's testimony.
📖 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." — 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
📚 Growing Through the Process
Merrell has completed both his New Beginnings and Stewardship classes — building a strong foundation for the next chapter God is writing in his life.
📖 "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." — Philippians 1:6
